Sheds - A Man's Second Home!

Black and Decker Shed Review!

Any married man, and in particular one with a family, needs a place to escape to from time to time, and this is the primary role of the trusted garden shed. All this bull about it being a storage space for garden tools and household bits and bobs, is but a half the story, for its real use is as a Den for Dad! For the family, the outdoor storage shed is also perfect for keeping all those things you no longer need but want to hold onto just in case they might come in handy again one day. And lastly, for me, apart form the garden storage shed being home to lawn mowers, strimmers, and hoes, it's also a tool Shed for all my DIY equipment and therefore acts as a workshop too. I've recently purchased a black and Decker shed and it's become my second home much to the disappointment of my disgruntled wife.

Buying your first shed is not as simple as it might first seem as there’s one heck of a lot of competition in the shed game nowadays, and despite their simplicity, it’s not always easy making a decision when attempting to purchase one among all the choices available today. But Black and Decker boast their study sheds will hold out against all the elements ensuring that tools bikes, and household junk remains protected and dry though all the seasons. My B&D shed was pretty easy to assemble and it looks quite smart on it’s little plot of garden. Having a shed in the garden or yard Kind of makes the house a home if you know what I mean.

I chose the Black and Decker shed above the competition simply because I trust the company which is based on a good consumer experience I've had with their other products. Black and Decker tools in a Black and Decker shed. A DIY Dad’s dream! The Black and Decker Shed is no disappointment. The only real trouble I had was choosing the right style and size for my yard but as they have a number of shed kits available, the options were all there.

Before buying or building a shed, the fist thing to consider is what you will be using your shed for. As I was looking more for a storage hut than a workshop of sorts, I opted for a medium sized Black and Decker shed with a simplistic design and open interior. The great thing about the basic layout is that you can add shelves, benches, and storage containers as and when you need them.

The Earthzone Black and Decker shed was simply too small. This unit is reasonably priced for its size but it is really designed for storing garden tools. You could easily fit all of your hand tools for outdoor work in this unit but not much more. I definitely needed something bigger as I like to escape to the shed from time to time (or should I say hide!), and for my own comfort I wanted a little room to move around and potter.

The Esquire shed was not really an option for me because it was too much for my relatively small yard. This Black and Decker shed is perfect for someone who has a few acres of land and a lot of equipment to store. Smaller yards will vanish under this item. So, you may be wondering what outdoor shed I opted for?

My ideal unit was the Black and Decker shed measuring four foot by six foot. This unit is the perfect size for my relatively small yard. I can fit everything I need into it with room to spare. My son keeps his bicycle in it from time to time. This Black and Decker shed comes equipped with shelves and hangers making organization a snap.

Even if my needs change this Black and Decker shed will grow with me. I can purchase an Apex shed extension kit if I ever need more space. For me, there is only one company for tools and sheds.

So guys, if you haven't got your wooden shed yet, you are most likely still living the selfish live of a bachelor, but I can tell you once thing, it won’t be long after you have tied the knot that you'll be wanting to build a shed of your own within the first year. Sorry ladies, but we men need a little space of our own sometimes!

My View on the Black and Decker Shed - Submitted by Jan (UK)

There are sheds and there are Black and Decker Sheds. The bottom line is this; there are more than likely other great garden sheds out there, but I've been using Black and Decker tools and products as far back as I can remember, and without any problems too I hasten to add. So it made good common sense to invest in a Black and Decker Storage Shed to house my B&D tools. Robust, attractive, and practical, but putting myself aside folks, Black and Decker Garden Sheds are a home away from home for this happy camper.

Black and Decker Sheds Vs Apex, Pent, and Barretts - Submitted by Ian Hartigan

I knew Black & Decker made power tools but since when did they begin to make other products for around the home? IMO, I think they should have stuck with what they knew. And just what's so special about Black and Decker Sheds anyway. I mean, these are the guys that had a good reputation for making screwdrivers and power tools long before they got into shed constructions and DIY kits? My neighbor has a B & D shed and it's about as stable as an unset jelly when the wind gets up. Personally, as far as I'm concerned, the popular Apex, Pent, and Barretts are the undisputed sturdy sheds for homes. Please B & D, if you care about your customers, stop trying to be a Jack of all trades.
