Black and Decker Firestorm Combo Kit

If you have one, you will know that the Black and Decker Firestorm really is a handy piece of kit. It has certainly helped us out around the home which seems to be in need of constant repair. My husband's shed looks like a hardware store for Black Decker tools, yet he still complains that he doesn't have enough gear to complete all the pending jobs around the house!

Oh well, it keeps him out of mischief bless him, and I would sooner he was into his Black Decker power tools than be a golf or fishing widow, plus it keeps me from nagging about those unfinshed jobs around the home, which so many other wives have to endure from their DIY dodging partners.

It's because my hubby’s such a DIY Junkie, that it's difficult to buy for him outside of DIY products. He always wants me to surprise him with power tools for birthdays and Christmas gifts, yet there doesn’t seem to be anything he hasn’t got! Fortunately, there always seems to be some new model of black Decker drill that he drops clues about, or a list of black Decker replacement parts for his existing tools just in case something he never uses stops working!

My hubby now tell me all his tools are getting old and are in desperate need of replacement. My jaw dropped as I've never actually seem him use half of the stuff. Anyhow, the people at Black and Decker made it much easier for me when I went shopping for his birthday present. The holiday season was quickly approaching and I wanted to get him the perfect gift. Knowing what my husband was like, a friend of mine suggested the Black and Decker Firestorm tool combo kit and I jumped at the chance to investigate.

Within minutes, I knew that I wanted to get this tool kit for my husband. I visited Sears the day after Thanksgiving to check out the Black and Decker Firestorm tool combo kit and I was thrilled to see that it was on sale for a remarkable price, less than $170. Considering that I almost purchased a Craftsman drill that had a trim saw and flashlight with it for $160 dollars before Thanksgiving I thought that this was a dream come true.

The Black and Decker Firestorm kit really does have the lot. I walked out of Sears with a huge plastic case filled with cordless tools and accessories for less than I ever expected to pay. The sturdy carrying case was a challenge to get into my car because of its impressive weight but I knew that it would be worth the extra effort.

I won’t begin to tell you how very difficult it was to hide the gift for nearly five weeks but I did. At least he never let on that he knew that the Black and Decker Firestorm combo kit was in the house. I had it tucked neatly away out of site. This was not an easy task, either.

This exciting collection of cordless tools includes a flashlight that is useful in helping my husband seeing into the dark crevices behind the walls. We learned the hard way that you can discover wiring sitting just behind the wall when you are in the midst of construction. But the flashlight is the least interesting of the Black and Decker Firestorm collection.

Although I reluctant to buy more tools for my husband, it was well worth it to see his excited little face light up on the big day. I knew in my heart that he really wanted the Black and Decker Firestorm tool kit more than a smart watch or new clothes, so if he's happy, I'm happy, and that means 'we're happy'.

The Firestorm collection includes the new Black and Decker cordless drill that my husband just can’t seem to live without. He is completely enamored with the reciprocating saw and the trim saw. He looks for things to cut. There is an alkaline-powered screwdriver included in the set as well. The charger came as a bit of a disappointment for him. It can take hours for the batteries to recharge so he does have to do a little planning ahead.

All and all, I have to say that I did a great job with my husband’s gift. The Black and Decker Firestorm combo kit is a hard act to follow. I just hope he might want something other than DIY kits for Christmas this year, as it would be nice to give him a gift with a little more sentimental value than noisy ole workshop tools. Oh well, I guess sometimes we just have to just accept the things we cannot change, and in my case, that includes my husband.
